Bikini

Do you think christian girls should wear bikinis.I have some but I don't know if I should wear them.

Well, I put I don't I wear I one piece. But ACTUALLY I wear a two piece...But it's not a bikini. It's a tankini. I also do where at whole piece that has a built in skirt as well. I am VERY self concience about my legs. haha.

This subject is similar to the belly shirt topic. Simply because, when we where a bikini, we are showing a lot of our body. Which should be saved for our husband on OUR part. But ALSO, other guys that see us, they will lust after us if they don't have good thinking. I know most Christian guys I know don't like bikinis because it hinders their spiritual thinking, and walk with God.

Anyone else out there wanna take over from there?

well from a guys perspective i would have to say i think its wrong for christian girls to wear bikinis cuz seeing a girl with barely anything on does make you want to lust after them, even though u know its wrong, its hard not to lust after them when they dont have much on.

I agree with Bruce and Emily. I wear a two piece but covers my entire stomach. I think this goes back to the whole issue of the belly shirts. Why would we do that to guys? and what is the reason we want to wear them? I care enough about the guys in my life not to show too much skin and I am sure you do too. Also if you have a bikini and decide not to wear it a cute tank top over the shirt works well. My tankini was a little low for me when I was swimming in the lake on my mission trip so i and a lot of the other girls put on tank tops and it was cute. So you could try that.

I agree with you guys... And yeah same here Emily, I wear a tankini, but it's modest. I don't think it's right for us to wear bikinis... I mean think about it. If we are who we say we are, and we try to follow God in everything, wouldn't modesty be a big thing to us as girls? I know it is for me. And I know that it's hard for Christian guys... I like what Bruce said, because I know it's so true. It's a way a guy is made up, and you can't tell me that girls don't realize that when they wear immodest clothes... in a way, it's advertising sex, and it's also inviting the guy to lust after you and imagine all kinds of things about you. Where's the mystery, girls??

Yeah, I have a tankini or whatever thats called and my amazingly awesome guys camo board shorts. Very Happy

And I usually wear a tank top or t-shirt over that, like, when I'm at Hershey Park. Smile

I wear a bikini for suntanning out at the farm we live on, but I'm wayy out towards the woods, usually, so no one sees me or anything. And the only reason why I go sunbathing is because when I work, I have to wear my uniform, and I started getting a farmers tan. Razz

So I decided it'd be best to get rid of that. Wink

But yeah...
Anyways, I think you made the right choice Paris. I'm really glad that God revealed what He wanted to you, and that you listened and obeyed Him. I love you

Great choice Paris! God is going to be really happy with that! =D And the Bible says not to tempt people, and wearing a bikini in front of guys would be tempting them. Wink
